Avery Elle Twisted Treats with Distress Watercoloring

Hey folks!

I'm back today to share some more Halloween-y goodness!

My card today was inspired by a Scrapbook Page done by Maska on the Avery Elle Blog. Her layout is AH-Mazing!

If you're interested in any of the products I've used, I have links (some affiliate links) throughout and at the end of the post. Click here to read my full disclosure policy.

When I first saw the Avery Elle Twisted Treats Stamp Set, I couldn't order it fast enough. I bought this bad boy in August. I love it so...

Surprisingly enough this went together fairly quickly. I started by loosely watercoloring a Ranger Distress Cardstock Panel with Ranger-Tim Holtz Distress Inks in Twisted Citron and Dusty Concord. Using my Hero Arts Heat Gun, I dried each color in between layers. I also didn't want to mix the Green and Purple, so it was super important to make sure each was dry before applying more. I mixed up some Ranger-Tim Holtz Distress Black Soot Paint and water and splattered it across the Panel.

Next I stamped all of smaller elements in the Stamp Set in Versafine Black Onyx Ink and heat embossed them with Simon Says Stamp Clear Embossing Powder.

I used the Stars from the Avery Elle Party Animal Stamp Set, but I didn't emboss them. Instead I went over them with some Clear Wink of Stella.

I die cut the Bat Frame with the Twisted Treat Die out of Neenah White Cardstock and stamped the matching stamp with Simon Says Stamp Black Ink. For the center of the Frame I covered it in Hero Arts Silver Ink

I stamped the Sentiment from the Stamp Set on a scrap of Simon Says Stamp Black Cardstock with Versamark Ink and heat embossed with Simon Says Stamp White Embossing Powder. To die cut it, I used a die from the Love Labels Die Set by Simon Says Stamp.

To finish it off I wrapped some DMC Silver Embroidery Thread around the Panel and attached it to a Simon Says Stamp Black Cardstock Card Base.

That's it peeps! Easy Peasy. Up next, I will have another card from the Simon Says Stamp October Card Kit. Also, don't forget Simon Says Stamp just released some more fabulousness. It's called the Create Joy release and it's off the hook!! Newton's Nook also just released four new sets! What's Christmas without Newton, I ask you?

In the meantime, I hope you've enjoyed my cards today! Don't forget you can follow me on Instagram  and on Facebook! I would love to see you there.

Until next time!
