Paper Smooches and Irojiten Colored Pencils

Hey folks!

I have a few cards to share with you today. It always seems to start with just one... Sometimes, I have more than a few squirrel moments and can't decide what I want to do, so I do a little bit of everything. It's also a bonus when I get something new to play with!

This is kind of a long one Peeps, so hang in there with me!

If you're interested in any of the products I've used, I will have links (some affiliate links) throughout the post. Click here to read my full disclosure policy.

I'm a big fan of Tombow products and I really love their adhesives. While my experience with their markers is limited, I was super duper curious with Irojiten Color Dictionary Colored Pencils (see links below). I loved the idea that they come in sets. There are 3 unique sets: Rainforest, Woodlands and Seascape for a total of 90 colors. Each one has 3 volumes per set and 10 colors per volume. They. Are. Groovy. I bought Rainforest and Woodlands and let me tell ya, I will definitely be putting the last set on my MUST HAVE NOW list. They feel a little bit harder to me compared to the Prisma Colored Pencil line, but I think the Irojiten blend together better on their own.

I really wanted a good image to test these out on. I've had Paper Smooches Blossoming Buds sitting on my table for awhile and I figured this would be a fantabulous set to use the Irojiten's and the Stamp Set. Also, it's so stinkin cute, I can't stand it!

After I stamped my images in Momento Espresso Truffle Ink on Simon Says Stamp Cream Cardstock, I chose Fall themed Irojiten colors to color them in. I also stamped the Large Sentiment with Versamark Ink and heat embossed that with Ranger Liquid Platinum Embossing Powder

For the Card Base, I used the Simon Says Stamp Wavy Scalloped Stitched Die and die cut the front of a top fold Simon Says Stamp Cream Cardstock Card in 2 places. I used the same Die to cut 2 strips of Simon Says Stamp Schoolhouse Red Cardstock as well as another piece of Cream Cardstock. I used a piece of Grafix Clear Craft Plastic and some Scor-Tape for the window. The second piece of Cream Cardstock was used to cover up the edges of the Plastic on the inside of the card.

I'm still pretty sure this card could use some embellies, but I seriously stared at this for the longest time and came up with nada, so we'll call it a day.

For my next two cards, I had watercolor on my mind. I think Ranger-Tim Holtz Distress Inks are the bees knees for watercolor and have perfect Fall colors! Both cards were stamped with Versamark Ink and heat embossed Ranger Liquid Platinum Embossing Powder. You can see my links below for my color choices. As usual, I used Ranger Distress Watercolor Cardstock

I die cut the Front Panel with a Simon Says Stamp Stitched Rectangle Die and a Simon Says Stamp Stitched Circle Die and added that over the Watercolored Image with Fun Foam. The Embellishments are Ranger White Enamel Accents colored with a R29 Copic and attached to with Tombow Mono Adhesive.

I used Simon Says Stamp Dark Chocolate Cardstock for the Card Base and Panel. I die cut the Panel with my Simon Says Stamp stitched Rectangle Die and embossed it with a Sizzix - Tim Holtz Texture Fades Embossing Folder in Woodgrain. To help tie in the red on the Flowers, I also die cut a piece of Simon Says Stamp Schoolhouse Red Cardstock.

I added a little DMC Gold Embroidery Thread and a few Craft Medley Sequins to finish it off.

This time, I stamped the Images with my MISTI Stamping Tool on a piece of Neenah Desert Storm Cardstock with Momento Espresso Truffle Ink. After I colored it in with Copic's (see below for color choices), I stamped the Images again with Versamark Ink and heat embossed them with Simon Says Stamp Clear Embossing Powder.

I'm going to pretend I didn't stamp the word Grateful too low and slightly crooked and just say I added some Clear Wink of Stella to the Flowers and leave it at that.

For the Stripes on the Card Base, I used the Simon Says Stamp Diagonal Stripe Background Stamp and Simon Says Stamp Schoolhouse Red Ink.

That's it folks! I'm either going to have some more Clearly Besotted or Lawn Fawn coming up, I haven't decided which. In the meantime, I hope you've enjoyed my cards today! Don't forget that today is the last day for the SVG Cuts 25% off Sale!

Until next time!
