Copic's & Colored Pencils with Power Poppy Poinsettia And Pomegranate Digital Stamp

Hey folks!

In today's video I'm sharing another digital stamp and it's a big one! Today I am Copic Coloring the Power Poppy Poinsettia and Pomegranates Digital Stamp and I'm super stoked to share it with you!
I'm also going to touch on a few points concerning color choices and the difference between coloring large images versus smaller images.

Before I get started, a quick note on the background of my project. I don't share it with you on YouTube or Patreon. I don't share it because it's not my technique. While I did do the background on my project today, I learned how to do from the TONIC Workshop by Vanilla Arts. This is a great workshop folks. Not only do you learn how to do the parchment technique, Amy also teaches you how to color glass. It's definitely has a Halloween feel to the finished project, but learning the parchment and glass technique is super valuable and universal as you can see by my project today.

You can watch the video on how I made my cards HEREYou can also click the thumbnail link below.

I really love the ability to take a digital stamp and make it as big as I want (well, big within reason). For the POINSETTIA AND POMEGRANATES, I used Adobe PHOTOSHOP and scaled it to 150%. I also change the opacity to 50%. Increasing the default size up by 50% doesn't seem like much, but it can make a difference how fast you get to work folks.

Larger stamps are going to take a wee bit more time to color in so be sure that you aren't coloring too much at once. I talk about this more in the VIDEO and share with you a few tips on it.

Also, I did make sure to print this image on X-PRESS It Blending Card folks. Although I will scan this and print this on fine art paper later, I still need to make sure I'm using an excellent paper to begin with.

Before I even started coloring, I had a plan on what colors I was going to use. Although poinsettias can be found in all sorts of colors, I knew that I wanted mine in red, but the pomegranates were also going to be in red so it was super important that I chose reds that would work well together.

If you watch the VIDEO on Patreon, I talk about this in more detail. Make sure no matter what images you color, if you're coloring multiple images in the same color family that you're balancing those colors with warms and cools. This will help your images stand out to the eye, but one doesn't overwhelm the other.

I don't do this very often, but I love it when I can combine different colors on one image like I did in the pomegranate. I really feel like it's part of the final result, but I also feel so smart when I do it. Like I've accomplished some great task. It really is easy folks. I promise.

That's it! I didn't using any embellies or add any sparkles. Since I'm scanning printing these, there was no need to add anything after the color. You totally could though!
