Masking Multiple Stamps and Simon Says Stamp August 2015 Card Kit

Hey folks!

I'm back today to share the cutest lil kitty in town! More on that in a moment.

Have you seen the Simon Says Stamp August 2015 Card Kit? If you haven't, go check it out! It's called Summer Sunshine. I can't wait to get my paws on mine! It's so summery and the colors look Devine with a capital "D".

So. While scrolling through Pinterest the other day, I happened to come across a Card that Sandy Allnock had done. I think Sandy is a rockstar and personally I think anyone who makes a card with a chicken in a pot is okey dokey in my book. I also think that everyone should have a chicken stamp in there stash. For real. She used the Chicken from Simon Says Stamp Birthday Farm Animals and it is so off the hook, I just ordered it.

Speaking of ordering new stuffs, Newton's Nook has some more fantastic stamps and dies (yes dies!) out. Be sure to go check those out!

Ok. No chicken? How about a cat?

If you're interested in any of the products I've used, I will have links for you at the end of the post!

Sandy used the Pot from the Cups And Succulents Stamp Set by Simon Says Stamp and so did I, but I think one of the Cups in the set would be really cute too. All of the images, with the exception of the Sentiment, were stamped with Momento Tuxedo Black Ink on Neenah White Cardstock. I used Simon Says Stamp Black Ink for the Sentiment.

The fabulous feline is from Birthday Bash by Newton's Nook. I just LOVE these cats. The Stamp normally holds a balloon, but I wanted to take it a step further and do a lil bit of masking. I used small pieces of Post-It Tape and masked off the balloon and a little bit of his tail before I stamped him.

So this is where it got a lil tricky. I stamped the cat stamp again on some Post-It Tape and cut the balloon out. That left his body and paws. I placed the masks over the stamped image on my panel. I then used the largest Rose from Newton's Nook Love Grows. I kind of had to hold the clean stamp over the Cat to see where I wanted it to go. As I held it over the cat I would take a piece of Post-It Tape and apply it to the parts of Rose I didn't want to stamp. When I got it masked off where I wanted, I inked it up and then stamped it over the cat. This was a one shot gig. If I hadn't stamped the Rose in the right spot, I would have had to start over. yeah. I would have cried. Seriously. It worked and I did a happy dance, so moving on!

I used the Hello Stamp from Handwritten Borders by Simon Says Stamp for the sentiment. These are really great and I'm so glad they are now a part of my arsenal. I can see where these will be great for all sorts of cards!

This would be awesome in watercolors, but I wanted to go the Copic route, and I love Red and Blue-Green together so that's what I did!

No embellishments this time, for this girl. Instead I just trimmed the panel and put it over a piece of Bazzill Tahitian Princess Cardstock.

That's it peeps! I'm pleased as punch. I hope you like it!

Until next time!

Making An Easy One Layered Card - Featuring Avery Elle and Copic Coloring

Hey folks!

I'm back today to share a suer easy and super fast one layered card with you all!

It's no secret that I love to mask and build up the images on a card. However, sometimes it's great to skip the masking and get the same effect. That's what I've done on my card today folks.

I'm a sucker for butterflies and if you make them rainbow and I will clap my hands like a demented seal. For real. So today I used the Butterflies Stamp Set by Avery Elle and did some basic Copic Coloring (color choices in thumbnail links below) in a rainbow color scheme.

On Neenah White Cardstock, I stamped my images in Simon Says Stamp Intense Black Ink with my MISTI Stamping Tool. You don't need a MISTI, but I'm a manic and it's almost impossible for me to line up my stamps again with a …

The stamp set I used today is Ah-mazing! It's the Hello Lovely Stamp Set by Concord & 9th and I'm tellin ya folks, if you're looking for something that has a whole lotta wow factor AND is easy, this is your stamp set.

Using my MISTI Stamping Tool, I stamped my Neenah White Cardstock Panel with Simon Says Stamp Intense Black Ink.

There are some really groovy stamps in the set if you wanted to just ink them up and stamp them within the outline image, but I LOVED the idea of coloring this bad boy in.

Using Dies On A One Layer Card + Altenew Majestic Blooms

Hey folks!

I'm back today to share another card with you all! I've done loads of Copic coloring lately and today's card is no different, but I wanted to try some new (to me) as well.

If you're interested in any of the products I've used, I have links (some affiliate links) throughout and at the end of the post. Click here to read my full disclosure policy.

I think Altenew has some of the most amazing flowers on the market. Their design and versatility is ah-mazing. The Majestic Blooms Stamp set by Altenew is actually a multi-layer set, but I climb on the struggle bus every time I attempt this kind of stamping, so I decided to stick with what I'm comfy with and simply use the outline of the flower and color it in with Copic's.

Since, I'm going to color this in with Copic's and I don't want them to bleed through the inside of my card I stamped the flower and leaves on a piece of Neenah White Cardstock with Simon Says Stamp Intense Black Ink. This …
