Copic Coloring And Prismacolor Color Pencils - A Blog Named Hero Sparkle & Shine Challenge + Hero Arts Daisy And Bugs Stamp & Cut

Hey folks!

In today's video we are kicking off the A Blog Named Hero SPARKLE & SHINE Challenge! I'm sharing how I color the Hero Arts Daisy And Bugs Stamp & Cut with Copic Coloring and Prismacolor Color Pencils then add some sparkle and shine for embellishment.

Some of the funnest stamp sets I own are Hero Arts Stamp & Cuts. I love that you can get the stamp set aaaannd the die in one set and I love all this different sets that are available. One of my top faves is the Hero Arts DAISY AND BUGS Stamp & Cut. I didn't use the coordinating die today, but it's there if I ever need it and the Daisy is darling!

You can watch the video on how I made my cards HEREYou can also click the thumbnail link below.

Before I started ink blending I used a rectangle from the Hero Arts Infinity RECTANGLE Dies and lightly traced the inside of it. I made sure that it was small enough that I had a nice white border, but I wanted it big enough that the majority of the flower was in the ink blending and a small portion was outside of it.

I wanted more of a no line look so I used a light grey ink. I wanted to use my Hero Arts SOFT GRANITE ink, but I couldn't find it. I'm making slooooow progress on getting stuff put away from my move folks. I have small disasters left to deal with and the motivation to deal with them is questionable to say the least. What d'ya do?

My color inspiration for my ink blending came from the oh so talented Amy Shulke of VANILLA ARTS Co. I used Tim Holtz Distress Ink in PEACOCK FEATHERS, SALTY OCEAN and SEEDLESS PRESERVES. However, Hero Arts ANTIGUA, STONE WASH and GRAPE JUICE would work fab as well!

To get that SPARKLE & SHINE on my ink blending I sprayed the panel with a healthy dose of SHIMMER SPRITZ from Imagine Crafts.

Awhile back I did a VIDEO where I use the same color choices I did today. I have those listed in the thumbnail links below if your interested in those. Those colors were originally chosen to color champagne in a glass, but they worked wonderfully on the flowers I colored on that video and are just a fab on the daisy.

I talk quite a bit about using colors to desaturate in the VIDEO, but I can't say enough how amazing the results are when you do this type of coloring.

To finish off my card, I stippled Sakura CLEAR Glaze in the center of the flower and of course no card of mine is complete without glitter on the highlights of my images. For this I used Nuvo AQUA Shimmer.

The sentiment is from the DAISY & BUGS Stamp & Cut and I stamped that with Hero Arts BLACK Ink.

That's it!
