Feature Friday - Posie Fill-In - Concord & 9th Guest Design

Hey folks!

I'm back for another Friday Feature for Concord & 9th! In todays video we are taking a look at the Posie Fill-In Stamp and Dies Sets. I've tried different techniques in my last three posts, so today I really wanted to keep it straight and to the point and simply use them as they were intended.

You can watch the video on how I made my cards HERE. You can also click on the thumbnail link below.

Also, if you would like to see what I did with the BANNERS & BLOOMS Stamp Set and the RIBBON BANNER Die, click HERE. You can go HERE to see the cards I made using the SEMICIRCLE TURNABOUT Stamp Set. The card I made using the RAINBOW WISHES Stamp and Die Set can be found HERE.

Both the BLOOMS Fill-In and the POSIE Fill-In Stamps are easy to use. If you've never seen hem, the idea it's a full background stamp that has flower shapes "cut out" of the background itself so you then can the the separate flower stamps and stamp them in whatever color you want. They're sooo easy to use and if you can think of the colors to use, the skies the limit.

I recently just finished shooting another video I will share soon, but U had used a bunch of Hero Arts Inks. All of the inks are already in coordinating sets to match a Color Layering Stamp Set. Since I had them out, if decided why not use them for these cards. I used LUCY'S FLORAL FAVORITES, MAY'S SHADES OF TEAL and for my lil notecard, MARIANA'S CORNFLOWER.

You can use whatever works best for you, but I used my MISTI Stamping Tool to stamp the background itself. Each car panel was stamped on Neenah SOLAR WHITE Cardstock. I talk about this more in the VIDEO.

You could do all sorts of techniques on these. I skipped it. Outside of using Nuvo Aqua Shimmer CLEAR Glitter Gloss, I didn't do anything fancy on either. This was actually a really fun approach for me!

On the card with the peach flowers, I went direct to paper with Hero Arts FRESH PEACH Ink, the die cut the friend sentiment from the POSIE Fill-In Die Set with my Spellbinders PLATINUM 6 Die Cutting Machine. I die cut the sentiment two more times, adhere all three layers of each letter together with Nuvo DELUXE Adhesive and attached to the card panel.

I simply left the sentiment smaller on the other card. I did however use FUN FOAM to add dimension to both of my cards.

For this card, I had planned a two for one. I stamped the entire background a flowers just like the other two. Then I used the banner from the YAY Die Set and die cut a section of the full card panel. I was going to use the positive of the banner as you see above and the rest of the panel on another card, but while finishing that one, I ruined it. So I decided to go with a smaller 4"x4" notecard.

I die cut the flowers from the POSIE Fill-In Die Set, stamped them with their coordinating stamps and adhered them over the banner.

Just for fun, I stamped and die cut several more flowers in Avery Elle MAGENTA, DAISY and AQUAMARINE as well as leaves in LEMON GRASS and CELERY Ink. Then I heat embossed sentiments from the POSIE Fill-In Stamp Set with Versafine ONYX Black Ink and heat embossed then in Hero Arts CLEAR Embossing Powder.

I popped the flowers up with some 3M FOAM Tape and added some IRIDESCENT Jewels from Little Thing From Lucy's Cards and called it good!

That's it!
