Window Card + Embossing With Dies - Catherine Pooler Zen Garden Release Blog Hop

Hey folks!

In today's video, I'm sharing with you a couple of cards using the Catherine Pooler Zen Garden Release! This is a part of a four day BLOG HOP. I'll be sharing I made a window card using the Stained Glass cover plate and how I used the same cover plate to dry emboss a card panel.

If you're interested in any of the products I've used, I have links (some affiliate links) throughout and at the end of the post. Click HERE to read my full disclosure policy.

You can watch the video on how I made my cards HERE. You can also click on the thumbnail link below.

The stamp set I used from the release is the FAITHFUL FLUTTERINGS Stamp Set and it's a blast. It's a stamp layering set and oh so easy to use.

There are 8 new INKS in the release and they are lovely. They are so soft and muted and fit perfectly in the previously released SPA Collection. Since pink is my favorite color, I had to use the ROSE PETAL Ink for the first layer of my butterfly on Catherine Pooler CARDSTOCK.

The next layer was SUGARED LAVENDAR and the last layer, I stamped VERSAMARK Ink and heat embossed it with Wow NATURAL ULTRA SHIMMER Embossing Powder. Be sure to check out the VIDEO folks, because I share a blue green version of this butterfly. For that guy I used SKLYLIGHT and SPRUCE Inks from the release.

The Catherine Pooler STAMP BLOCKS have become my favorite stamp blocks EVER, but for this I used the MISTI Stamping Tool, because I'm a maniac and can't line up stamps very well.

I show in the VIDEO how I made the window portion of my card, but it's really easy to do. My go-to acetate is Graffix ACETATE. It cuts like a dream and is super clear.  To adhere my acetate and panels to my card base, I used .5 in. iCraft ADHESIVE. I use this double sided tape all the time because it holds up so well.

I loved the idea of using the STAINED GLASS Coverplate for a window card, so I cut that out of Catherine Pooler Cardstock as well and trimmed it down to fit my window.

To keep my card clean & simple, I added a few Hero Arts GEMS and stamped a sentiment with BLACK JACK Ink from the stamp set.

This card was even easier yet. I like to have little notecards on had, so I always look for an opportunity to put one or two together. I used the blue green butterfly that I talked about above to add to the front.

For this card, I used the Catherine Pooler CIRCLE Dies and die cut Catherine Pooler Cardstock for a panel and a card base. Then I used the STAINED GLASS Coverplate again, but this time I dry embossed it with my Sizixx BIG SHOT and my Spellbinders EMBOSSING Mat.

Since I had them out, I used more Hero Arts GEMS for embellies.

Be sure to follow along the HOP folks! The list of crafty goodness is below. ALSO comment below for you chance to win the new ZEN GARDEN Ink Pads. That's all eight pads folks! Oooor you can receive a $45 gift certificate for the CP Shop if you already own them!
