Concord & 9th - Hello Lovely

Hey folks!

It's been soo long since I've been able to share a card with you all and I'm so happy to be back! Now I know folks are busy sharing their Christmas creations and I may have one or two before Christmas, but I gotta be honest peeps, I'm just happy to be coloring again.

If you're interested in any of the products I've used, I have links (some affiliate links) throughout and at the end of the post. Click here to read my full disclosure policy.

The stamp set I used today is Ah-mazing! It's the Hello Lovely Stamp Set by Concord & 9th and I'm tellin ya folks, if you're looking for something that has a whole lotta wow factor AND is easy, this is your stamp set.

Using my MISTI Stamping Tool, I stamped my Neenah White Cardstock Panel with Simon Says Stamp Intense Black Ink.

There are some really groovy stamps in the set if you wanted to just ink them up and stamp them within the outline image, but I LOVED the idea of coloring this bad boy in.

As usual, my I colored everything in with Copic's (see thumbnail links below). For my color palette I was inspired by Shari Carroll's Merry & Bright Color Coordinates.

Using my T-Ruler and my Simon Says Stamp Large Grid Pad, I drew 2 lines across the panel, them colored that in with Copic's as well.

I finished the panel off with a Sakura Glaze Pens in Black, a Uni-Ball Signo White Gel Pen and a lil bit of Spectrum Noir Clear Sparkle Pen. I will say that I wish I hadn't used the Black Glaze Pen. It was too wide for the finer lines of the image, but what d'ya do?

That's it! Easy peasy.

Thanks so much for stopping in to see me peeps, and as always I hope you enjoyed my card today!

Until next time!

Fixing Boo Boo's - Simon Says Stamp July 2016 Card Kit + Simon Says Stamp STAMPtember

Hey folks!

It's back to school in our neck of the woods. Which means it's back to getting up bright and squirrelly and still running around the house like crazy chickens because we NEVER have our act together. What d'ya do?

I gotta be honest peeps, this card wasn't quick. It took a lil bit of time to color, but I think sometimes slowing down and enjoying the process needs to be a thing. Which is funny given the statement I just made about school mornings. ALSO when the stars just don't seem to line up and you keep making a mess of things you NEED to slow down a fix it!

If you're interested in any of the products I've used, I have links (some affiliate links) throughout and at the end of the post. Click here to read my full disclosure policy.

So, for my card today, I used the Simon Says Stamp July 2016 Card Kit. It's called Handwritten Floral Greetings. The kit itself is sold out folks, but you can purchase almost all of the items in the kit separately if you like.

I started by creating masks with Inkadinkado Stamping Mask Paper, then stamped all of my images on a panel of Neenah White Cardstock with Simon Says Stamp Intense Black Ink.

These would look fab if the flowers were colored in two or three different colors, but I decided since all those little petals were going to take enough time, I would be good to myself and just color them all in with one color. You can see my choice of Copic colors in the thumbnail links below.

When I was done coloring in all of the images, I went back over the tips of the flowers and lightly added some PrismaColor White Colored Pencil.

Aaannnd here's where the boo boo's' begin...When I started this card I actually intended to trim it down, pop it up on some Fun Foam and such. HOWEVER, the universe had other ideas. I set a Copic BG10 on top of the panel and there was marker on the cap. Not cool. Next thing you know I'm coming up with Plan B, because there was NO way I was starting this bad boy over.

So to fix it, I took one of the Simon Says Stamp Nested Circle Dies, made a stencil with Graffix Clear Craft Plastic. I talk about why I prefer this method in THIS post. I traced around the inside of the circle with a Copic Multiliner and colored it in with Blue-Green Copic's. Easy peasy right?

EXCEPT when I was getting ready to trace around the inside of the circle, I managed to touch the tip of the Multiliner to my panel, when then made a spot I hadn't intended. Good gravy. So Plan B-2 was making more dots so it looked like I did it on purpose. Mission accomplished.

At this point I'm fixing to call it a day folks, before I make anymore mistakes. I (very, very carefully) added a sentiment from the Simon Says Stamp You Stamp Set, then some Clear Wink of Stella to the highlights of the images, Kennedy Grace Creations Moonbeam Sequins and adhered it to a Neenah White Cardstock Card Base. Then went to lie down before I hurt myself.

That's it!

Last, but certainly not least, today is September 1st and that means STAMPtember at Simon Says Stamp! This release is so amazing folks. It's a full month of amazing! ALSO, this year Simon Says Stamp is having a MONSTER giveaway. They've got some awesome sponsors so be sure to enter HERE.

Thanks so much for stopping by and as usual, I hope you enjoyed my card today!

Until next time!
